What Next?

"You've done your part, now it's our turn."  As Peter said in his "thank you" message (last update - check it out), we understand that we have a lot to prove.  We are new to this community, and it is early days, but we embrace this first crack at proving our commitment to this group.  There's much to share about our company strategy, but Kickstarter is a central part of it and we understand it's here for us only as long as we make good.  Here's what to expect over the next few weeks:

Now - Kickstarter has already started collecting fees and should be notifying you.  Please make sure your credit card information is up to date.

Next Ten Days - before end of month, we'll send out our surveys through BackerKit.  The survey will allow us to tie up any choices around your rewards and make sure we know exactly how to send you the goods.  Please fill out the surveys as quickly as possible.  At this time, we'll also open up the BackerKit store, where you can add onto your order and scoop up that reward you missed or extra variant cover.  We're going to have a few special items in there that we'll announce in the coming days.

Beyond - Production on the book is coming along very well.  We've been in touch with our vendors and the calendars look clear.  All looking good to deliver on time.  Of course, if anything changes, we'll communicate it.  Most importantly, if you have any concerns or questions, feel free to reach out here, over social, or through email.

We are beyond motivated to do this to the T.  Looking forward to earning that loyalty.

Yesterday: Only three original Yishan Li sketches left...someone out there - they must belong to somebody.

Hi folks, Robert here, I did it.  I just #ADJUSTEDUP to claim the LAST Yishan original sketch.

We are sooooo close to the final stretch goal - a live session with a Shaolin Master.

If 100ish of you adjust up $10, we are breaking right through.  Who's with me?!!!  Comment below if you adjusted up!

1000 backers, cover upgrade...but 24 Hours to Go!

We broke through the 1000 backers mark, which is simply phenomenal for any book much less a first book.  Thank you.  We also unlocked the cover upgrade!  This is very special for us because it means we get to memorialize this first book with a cover that will make it feel premium - and because it is a Kickstarter exclusive, it also allows us to honor this remarkable community.

But now we're into the final lap!  Any sharing or tweeting or forwarding you can do will be greatly appreciated.  Natalie is on the lookout for mentions and @'s - so we'll share your share.

We are very close to the pin upgrade.  A pin for every physical backer.  Upgraded pins for those already with pins, each one laser-etched with a number.  Five years from now at some con, you meet the holder of pin #1 - can you imagine?  Only three original Yishan Li sketches left...someone out there - they must belong to somebody.

Revealing the updated design for the Adept Trading Cards Series #1!  Art by Yishan Li and Conor Hughes with design by Matt Slade and Lisa Zarate.  This first series is a 3-card set, each featuring a Shaolin form that appears in issue #1.
